What this site is

PlaintiffWire is a legal news wire. It carries two kinds of content, labelled differently on every page: news desk briefs summarised from cited sources, and press releases submitted by firms and organisations and published substantially as received. About describes both in full.

Not legal advice

Nothing here is legal advice. Reading this site, subscribing to it, or submitting to it creates no attorney-client relationship with anyone, including PlaintiffWire and any firm named on it. If you have a legal problem, speak to a lawyer about your own facts.

No endorsement, and no promise of results

Publishing a verdict, settlement, ranking, or release is not an endorsement of the firm named and is not a statement about its quality. Every result reported here turned on its own facts. Past results do not predict or guarantee the outcome of any other matter.

If you submit a release

You confirm you are authorised to submit it, that its statements are accurate, and that you hold the rights to any text and images in it. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish, format, distribute, and syndicate it, including through our feeds and email digest. You keep ownership of your material.

We review submissions for relevance, not accuracy. We may reformat, decline, or later remove any submission, with or without explanation. We do not verify the claims a release makes.

Rankings

Rankings are compiled automatically from public announcements, the SetCalc verdict dataset, and releases on the wire. Firm names and amounts are extracted programmatically. Some attributions are inferred rather than confirmed, and none are independently verified. They are provided as-is. If an entry is wrong, tell us and we will correct or remove it promptly.

Corrections and removal

Ask through the contact page. Correcting a factual error is free, and we would rather make the correction than not.

Advertising rules are yours to follow

If you republish material from this site in your own marketing, including rankings or verdict figures, complying with the advertising rules of your state bar is your responsibility, not ours.

Acceptable use

Do not submit anything false, defamatory, confidential, or infringing. Do not scrape the site in a way that degrades it — our feeds are open and our syndication terms are published, so ask instead. Do not misrepresent who you are.

Third-party content and links

We link to source publications and to firm websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content.

Disclaimer and liability

The site is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, PlaintiffWire is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the site or reliance on anything published here.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
