Amazon Nitrous Oxide Death Lawsuit Set for Trial in December 2027

Christopher and Elisa Good, along with the estate of their daughter Rylie Good, filed a wrongful death complaint in May 2026 against Amazon.com Inc. and Amazon.com Services LLC. The lawsuit alleges that Rylie, a 25-year-old mother of three, developed an addiction to flavored nitrous oxide products—specifically Galaxy Gas products—purchased repeatedly through Amazon beginning in late 2023.

According to the complaint, Rylie inhaled nitrous oxide daily for several months, and by December 2023 she was hospitalized with severe neurological damage including myelopathy, vitamin B12 depletion, peripheral neuropathy, and cognitive impairment that left her unable to walk independently. She died on May 14, 2024, from a pulmonary embolism. The plaintiffs allege that her prolonged nitrous oxide abuse and resulting physical deterioration contributed to her death, and that the frequency and volume of her purchases should have alerted Amazon to the dangerous pattern of use.

A federal judge has scheduled the case for jury trial in December 2027.
